New users will receive an activation email when they are created without a password. If users are unable to locate or receive their activation email please attempt the following:
- Verify the email on the account. If the email is correct, then skip to step 2. If the email is incorrect, it can be edited through the Tenant Dashboard. After you've located the user, select the "Edit" button. On the next page, set the correct email under "Account & Contact Email" and click on the "Save" button to submit your changes.
- Resend the activation email to the correct email address. On the user's page, click on the "Resend email to user" dropdown. Select "activation email", this will re-send the activation email to the user's email address. If the option "password reset email" is available instead, then the user has already activated their account or the user was set up with a password.
- If the user is still not able to locate the activation email, please have them check their spam folders. BenchPrep will be able to verify that the activation emails were delivered successfully.
- As an alternative, you can also set up a password for the user's account. After you've located the user, select the "Edit" button. On the next page, set a password for the user under "Password" and "Password confirmation" and click on the "Save" button to submit your changes. The user will now be able to log in with their email address and the password you've set up for them. They can later change this password through their User Portal.
