How to set up a new client

1. Create the client. Go to the Clients tab of the Tenant Dashboard and click on the purple “New Client” button. 

2. Create the division. In the Divisions tab, click on the “New Division” button. Make sure to enter both the name of the division (“BenchPrep Industries Healthcare,” “BenchPrep Industries Auto,” etc.) and select the client you just created from the drop-down list (you'll need to type in the first few letters of the client's name to get the drop-down list to populate). This connects the division and client.

3. Create the program. In the Programs tab, click on the “New Program” button. Every program must be associated with a contract. When creating the program, you can also create the contract on this page. You can also add the Program Admin here. 

Contract Fields:

  • Name: The name you'd like to give the contract
  • Program: The program's name should be preselected
  • Start date: The first date an program admin can add student or manager accounts to their school
  • End date: The last date an program admin can add student or manager accounts to their school
  • Admin access expiration date: The date that administrators lose access to Richardson Accelerate. 
  • First Student Activation Date: The first date a user may activate their account
  • Last Student Activation Date: The last date a user may activate their account
  • Final Access Date: If all students should lose access to Richardson Accelerate on the same date, regardless of when they activated their account, set this date. Otherwise, leave it blank. 
  • Type: Select unlimited if the program should have unlimited licenses; select limited if the program should have a finite number of licenses and designate the number of seats. 
  • Courses: Check the box next to the name of each course users on this contract should have access

4. Create the client organization. Go to the "Client Organizations" tab and click on the "New Client Organization" button. Fill out the fields on the next page as follows: 

  • Name - Name of the client. Example: Sweetums Foundation
  • Slug - Name of the client, with hyphens instead of spaces. Example: sweetums-foundation
  • Associated with - the level of the hierarchy where you'll implement unique branding for this client. This will almost always need to be set to "client." 
  • ID - Type in the name of the client (or division, or program, or cohort) you’re associating this client organization with. When it pops up, select it.
  • White logo - upload the white logo (optional) 
  • Color logo - upload the color logo (optional) 

Click on the "Save" button.
